Tiltran Services and Lizco Sales contracted S.M.A.R.T.
Consulting to provide Managers and Supervisors with basic
Management skills. When the Management training was complete
we contracted them to provide and assist us with Process
Mapping.
The outcome of the training was very positive and has created
an awareness of the need to train key staff. All of the
participants gained valuable tools and knowledge that enabled
them to perform more effectively.
Our Management team was struggling with developing Process
Mapping. Anselm and Jeff were very effective at assisting
us with a Mapping system that identified our gaps. The results
of our process mapping allow us to develop new and improved
methods of dealing with procedures and operational methods.
Anselm and Jeff are a unique training team that was able
to keep the attention of the participants but still manage
to make the training interesting and beneficial.
I have no problem recommending S.M.A.R.T. Consulting for

Environmental Engineers Get Efficient
Like ERA, Hetek Solutions helps its clients increase efficiency
and reduce costs. It does so by providing energy, water
and environmental solutions that detect and eliminate waste.
Hetek is an engineering company that's been dedicated to
the conservation and efficient use of natural resources
for 50 years. It's so dedicated in fact, that according
to Director and CEO Wayne Hennigar, "We were so focused

The company decided to seek third party expertise to review
its indirect costs and associated processes. It selected
ERA, partly due to a previous association with Len Silverstein,
ERA's Associate in London, Ontario. Len was well respected
for his dedication to service and his network of fellow
Associates.
The engagement covered several cost areas. In those that
have been reviewed to date, the savings are significant:
35% on courier/freight costs; 26% on office supplies; 18%
on telecommunications; and 20% on vehicle leasing.

Len and his industry experts also introduced process improvements,
where appropriate: they upgraded Hetek's courier software
for faster, easier order processing; they improved reporting
on courier services and office supplies to cut administration
time; and they suggested a hassle-free service for fleet
vehicle maintenance.
Wayne Hennigar is confident of his company's success as
it moves into its sixth decade. He said, "ERA helped
us through this transition to greater internal efficiencies.
The bottom line is improved profits through effective expense
control. With assistance from agencies such as ERA, our
viability is assured." ERA will continue to provide
expertise in all cost areas when required, and is currently
reviewing Hetek's WSIB rates.
